She was born Feb. 6, 1914, in Delphos, to Bernard and Anna Mary (Hoffman) Dickrede. On June 15, 1937, she married Raymond J. Pothast, who died June 9, 1989. Survivors are two daughters, Jeanette Fortman, Northfield, and Joyce Carnes, Wapakoneta; four daughters and their husbands, Marceil and Thomas Fisher and Norma and James C. Wachauf, all of Wapakoneta, Wilma and Myron Oen, Botkins, and Karen and Larry Hall, Westchester; a son and his wife, John and Betty of Versailles; a sister and her husband, Estella and Virgil Suever, Delphos; a sister, Edna GAble, Delphos; 25 grandchildren and 39 great-grandchildren. Deceased are a son-in-law, William G. Fortman, two brothers, Ralph and Urban Dickrede, two sisters, Zita Hessling and Emma Fischer, and a great-grandson. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and its former Catholic Ladies of St. Joseph, Wapakoneta. She was a member of Wapakoneta Senior Citizens, Knights of Columbus Council 1272 Auxiliary, Wapakoneta. Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church, the Rev. Peter Chiodo, C.PP.S., officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Calling is 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Monday at Long & Folk Funeral Home, Wapakoneta, with a Christian prayer service at 8 p.m. Contributions can be made to Wapakoneta Manor Activity Fund.
