Additional: Wilfred A. Meyer, 74, 169 S. Hanover St., Minster, died at 7:45 p.m. Aug. 27 at James Cancer Center, Columbus. He was born May 5, 1926, in Egypt, to Anton and Catherine (Schmiesing) Meyer. On July 17, 1948, he married Audrey Vallo, who survives. Other survivors are a son and his wife, Jon and Barbara of Minster; a son-in-law, Ivan Bergman, Minster; a sister and her husband, Adelle and Stan Bernard, Piqua, and two sisters, Viola Shenk and Evelyn Schulte, both of Minster; a brother and his wife, Paul and Audrey of Minster; and six grandchildren. Deceased are a daughter, Mary Ellen Bergman, and three brothers. He was a retired owner of Meyers Dairy and plant manager of Dannon Yogurt Co., Minster. He was a member of St. Augustine Church and its Orphan Society, Fraternal Order of Eagles Post 1391 and Knights of Columbus, all of Minster, Minster Civic Association, Travelers Protective Association and Minster Athletic Boosters. Funeral Mass is 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church, and burial will follow in the church cemetery. Calling is 2-8 p.m. Tuesday and 9-9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster.
