Additional: Kermit L. McCullough, Jr., 67, State Route 219, New Knoxville, died Saturday , Dec. 23, 2000, at Wapakoneta Manor. He was born Feb. 2, 1933, in Salem Township, Auglaize County, the son of Kermit L. McCullough Sr. and Arvilla (Morris) McCullough. On May 21, 1955, he married Carol Lunz, who survives. Other survivors include a daughter, Julie McCullough of New Knoxville; four sons, Richard (Rose) McCullough of Wapakoneta and Ted (Celia) McCullough, Jeffrey McCullough and Gary McCullough, all of New Knoxville; two sisters, Joann (Bill) DULL of Sarasota, Fla., and Connie (Robert) SUTTON of Buckland; three brothers, James McCullough, Don (Rita) McCullough and Paul (Barbara) McCullough, all of New Knoxville; seven grandchildren, Josh, Brian, Erin, Bridget, Amber, Travis and Leigh McCullough; and a great-grandson, Nathan McCullough. Mr. McCullough retired in 1995 from the Wapakoneta Machine Co. Prior to that he had worked with the Hoge Lumber Co. and part time with the Eschmeyer Lumber Co., both in New Knoxville. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in Germany, and a member of the American Legion Post 444 in New Knoxville. He was a life member of the Olive Branch United Methodist Church, Shinbone, State Route 219, New Knoxville, where he was Sunday School Superintendent and trustee for many years. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Bayliff & Eley Funeral Home in Wapakoneta with the Rev. Mitch Arnold officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenlawn Cemetery in Wapakoneta. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to the Olive Branch United Methodist Church, the radio fund of the New Knoxville United Church of Christ or St. Rita's Hospice.
