Additional: Died. Moser — On the 26th day of February 1881, in this place, John J. Moser. John Jacob Moser, born March 24th, 1823 in Lincolnsheine, Alsace, France, he carried on a prosperous business in Lyons, France, for many years until in 1851, he was forced to flee the country on account of his pronounced republicanism, and active efforts to defeat the Coup D'etat. It was during this revolutionary struggle that he first became acquainted with the late Gen'l. Willich. After a sojourn of two years in Spain, he with his family set out from Gibraltar for the U.S., arriving in New York in the fall of 1853. He remained in New York and Brooklyn about two years then removed to Patterson N.J., from there he went to Cincinnati, afterwards to Moscow, O., from which place he finally, in the early part of 1861, removed to Wapakoneta.
