Additional: Jacob A. Meckstroth, 97, of Columbus, died Saturday, Feb 9, 1985 at First Community Village in Columbus. (For other obituary information, please see the front page of today's newspaper). Born May 28, 1897 in New Knoxville, he was the son of Charles A. and Anna (Lammers) Meckstroth, His wife, Adeline, died in 1963. He is survived by one son, Dr. Charles V. Meckstroth of Columbus; two daughters, Mrs. George (Rachel) Hoeflinger, Hilliard, and Mrs. Robert (Gretchen) Angerman, Navarre; 11 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; and a sister, Meta Hoge of New Knoxville. Mr. Meckstroth was a member of Grace United Church of Christ, Columbus. His funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Schoedinger Northwest Chapel, 1740 Zollinger Road, Columbus, where friends may call from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today. The Rev. Martin Stiffler will officiate. Additional funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at the First United Church of Christ in New Knoxville where the family will receive frineds from 2 p.m. until the time of the services. The Rev. Jon R. Coddington will officiate. Burial will follow in Evangelical Protestant Cemetery, New Knoxville. Memorial contributions may be made to the Adeline Meckstroth Horticulture Alcove at the Columbus Public Library.
