Additional: Brad A. Meyer, 21, 11111 Schmitmeyer-Baker Road, Minster, died at 5 a.m. Jan. 26 in the emergency room at Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton. Death was due to injuries sustained in a traffic accident. He was born Dec. 12, 1980, in St. Marys, to Thomas and Barbara (Riethman) Meyer. Also surviving are a brother, Gary of Minster; a sister and her husband, Kelly and Brad Rose, Fort Loramie; the paternal grandfather, John B. Meyer, Russia; and the maternal grandparents, Bernard and Marie Riethman, McCartyville. Deceased is the paternal grandmother, Marceil Meyer. He was a 1999 graduate of Fort Loramie High School and a student at Edison Community College, Piqua. He was employed at Dan Eilerman Construction, Fort Loramie. An All County/All State baseball player, he formerly played on the Sidney American Legion baseball team. He was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church and the Sons of the American Legion, both of Fort Loramie. Funeral Mass will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church, the Rev. Steven Shoup officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery. Calling is 2-9 p.m. Tuesday and 9-10 a.m. Wednesday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster. Contributions can be made to the Brad Meyer Baseball Scholarship Fund at Fort Loramie High School.
