Additional: John Jacob Lintz, 83, of 501 Indiana Avenue, widely known throughout the community, died suddenly Sunday at 12:45 a.m. at his home. Death was due to a heart attack. He had been suffering with asthma for the past several weeks. Mr. Lintz was born September 10, 1887 in St. Marys to the late Jacob J. and Dorothea Kappell Lintz. He had lived his entire life in the St. Marys community. He was the owner and the operator of the "Candy Box" formerly located in the Limbacher bakery. Mr. Lintz was a member of the St. Paul's United Church of Christ. Surviving are three sisters, Miss Minnie Lintz, Pheonix, Arizona, Mrs. Katherine Kennedy and Miss Laura Lintz, both at home, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 3 p.m. at the Sittler Memorial home with the Rev. William H. Oelrich of New Knoxville officiating. Burial will follow in the Elmgrove Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. this evening.
