She was born Jan. 25, 1906, in New Knoxville, the daughter of Jacob and Elizabeth (Hinze) Katterheinrich. On Aug 31, 1935, she married Richard E. Jacobs, who died Oct. 7, 1959. Survivors include two brothers, Kermit (Lois) Katterheinrich of Bluffton and Calvin Katterhenry of Wapakoneta; a daughter-in-law, Carol Katterheinrich of Wapakoneta; two grandchildren, Hope (Mick) McCune of Cridersville and Mark Katterheinrich of Wapakoneta; two great-great grandchildren, Kellie (Kelly) Lange of Lima and Heather McCune of Cridersville; and a great-great-grandson, Kyle Lange. She was preceded in death by a son, Thomas F. Katterheinrich; a brother, Harold Katterheinrich; and two sisters, Mildred Jordan and Adelia Sharpe. A homemaker, Mrs. Jacobs worked as a teacher in several one-room schools in Auglaize County. She also worked at the JC Penny store and later retired from Auglaize Acres both of Wapakoneta. She was a member of the St. Paul United Church of Christ in Wapakoneta and its Circle I. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Bayliff & Eley Funeral Home in Wapakoneta with the Rev. Dr. John E. Manzo officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenlawn Cemetery in Wapakoneta. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home and for one hour before the services Friday. Memorials may be directed to Wapakoneta Manor or Auglaize Acres.
