Additional: Opal L. Hittepole, age 92, formerly of Wentz St., Wapakoneta, died 9:25 a.m Sunday, April 1, 2001 at her daughter's residence in North Olmstead, Ohio. She was born Oct. 31, 1908 in Auglaize County, the daughter of George and Sarah Teeters Lynch. In June, 1929, she married Orville Hittepole. He died Nov. 30, 1957. Survivors include: one daughter, Georgia (Gary) Allen, North Olmstead; two granddaughters, Zan (Greg) Glover and Gail (Chris) Ditz; and one great grandson, Drew Patrick Glover. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Zane David Zimmerman, and a sister, LeDona Beery. A homemaker, Mrs. Hittepole retired from Don Jenkins Jewelers, Lima. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Wapakoneta and its Hannah Unit. She was also a member of the Trinity Chapter No. 16, Order of the Eastern Star, the Order of the Beauceant, and was the past mother advisor of the Lima Rainbow Girls, all of Lima. She was a member of the Wapakoneta Woman's Club, and a 1927 graduate of Blume High School. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Bayliff & Eley Funeral Home, Wapakoneta, with the Rev. Alice K. Hoover officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery, Lima. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, where an Eastern Star Memorial service will be 8 p.m. Memorials may be directed to the First United Methodist Church Youth Group or Community Hospice, Cleveland, Ohio.
