Additional: Mrs. Malinda Elizabeth Hehr, age 62, of 110 North Walnut Street, New Bremen, died at 4:35 p.m. Sunday at Joint Township Memorial Hospital. Death was to complications. She had been in failing health since December. A native of New Knoxville, Mrs. Hehr was born November 30, 1907 to the late William and Ann Hoge Kuck. On June 21, 1928 she was married to Ernest F. Hehr who died November 5, 1967. The couple moved to New Bremen in 1967 from their farm west of town. Survivors include two children, Mrs. James (Eileen) Campbell, New Bremen and James Hehr, R.R.1, New Bremen, There are nine grandchildren, two brothers, Edwin J. Kuck of New Knoxville and Rev. Julius W. Kuck, D.D., Tonowanda, New York. One brother died in infancy. Mrs. Hehr was a member of Zion United Church of Christ, New Bremen, and the Lay Life and Work group of the church. She continued active in her home and in church work dispite the loss of both of her legs. She was always cheerful and courageous. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Gilberg Funeral Home with the Rev. Richard B. Meckstroth officiating. Burial will be in German Protestant Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday afternoon and evening and until the time of services. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 Tuesday.
