Additional: Former Mendon resident Inez P. Hirn, 95, died at 6:46 p.m. April 8 at Otterbein Retirement Community Center, St. Marys. She was born Dec. 28, 1905, in St. Marys, to Wesley and Margaret (Stewart) Gayer. On Oct. 2, 1926, she married Ernest H. Hirn, who died Sept. 7, 1982. Survivors are a son and his wife, Paul and Vivian of St. Marys, and a son, Clyde of Pretoria, South Africa; two daughters and their husbands, Margaret and Don Baker, Spencerville, and Eloise and Lewis Hubble, Bradley, Ill.; two sisters, Laverne Worrell, Bakersfield, Calif., and Ada Gayer, St. Marys; a daughter-in-law, Phyllis of Mendon; 12 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Deceased are a son, Glen, a brother, Raymond Gayer, and a sister, Esther King. She was a homemaker and a member of Mendon United Methodist Church. She was a 1927 graduate of Lima Business College, and a 1925 graduate of St. Marys Memorial High School. Services are 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at W.H. Dick & Sons Funeral Home, Mendon, the Rev. Paul Bunnell officiating. Burial is at Elm Grove Cemetery, St. Marys. Calling is 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Contributions can be made to the church
