Additional: Esther M. Schroer Huffman, 88 of New Haven, Indiana died at 10:20 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 29, 1998 at her residence. She was born March 18, 1909 in St. Marys to Herman H. and Amerlia M. (Luft) Schroer. On Sept. 7, 1940 she married C. Everett Huffman, and he died in 1997. She is survived by a daughter, Kay I. Putt of New Haven; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Mr. Huffman retired in 1971 as head teller at Home Loan Bank where she was employed for 31 years. She was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church, past president of the United Methodist Women and past president of Northern Indiana Conference of United Methodist Woman. Services will be held at 3 p.m. Monday at D.O. McComb & Sons Funeral home, 1140 Lake Avenue, Fort Wayne, Indiana with Rev. Karen Kosberg officiating. Burial will follow in Covington Memorial Gardens in Fort Wayne. Memorials maybe directed to the Parkview Home Health Care & Hospice.
