Additional: Craig Howard Hirschfeld, 20, R.R.1, New Bremen was killed at 12:15 a.m. Sunday when the automobile that he was driving went off Hardin Pike south of Wapakoneta and struck a power pole. He was pronounced dead at the scene by Auglaize county Coroner Dr. Richard Harbord and is the fourth fatality in the county this year... Hirschfeld was born August 10, 1954 in Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, the son of Wallace and Edna Wiehe Hirschfeld. In addition to his parents, other survivors include two brothers, Erik, at home, and Bryan of R.R.4 Wapakoneta; one sister, Mrs. Tim (Judy) Vilyus, Shreveport, La.; paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Victor Hirschfeld, R.R. New Bremen and maternal grandfather, Harry Wiehe of R.R. New Bremen. He was a graduate of Memorial High School in 1972 where he was involved in many activities and of Clark Technical School, Springfield. He was engaged in farming. He was a member of the St. Paul's United Church of Christ, New Bremen, the church choir and taught Sunday School there. In addtion he was Auglaize Farm Bureau Youth Advisor and and a 4-H advisor. Services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the church with the Rev. Roger D. Perl officiating. Burial will be in German Protestant Cemetery, New Bremen. Friends may call at the Gilberg Funeral Home, New Bremen, this afternoon and evening. The body will be taken to the church Tuesday to lie in state until time of services.
