Mr. Heil, the deceased married Anna Tangeman, October 16, 1873, which union was blessed with 11 children of which three boys and two daughters survive. On May 31st he again united in marriage with Mrs. D. Shuster. About thirty-three years ago he moved to New Knoxville and followed the blacksmith's trade with which he was ever active until last August when he suffered a stroke of apoplexy and was forced to retire. There remains to mourn his departure his bereaved widow, five boys, Edwin Heil and Herbert Heil, St. Marys; Ferd Heil, Wapakoneta; Harvey and George Shuster, New Knoxville; two daughters Rosa, Mrs. Lewis Settlage, near New Knoxville; Amelia, Mrs. Roberts, Milton, West Virginia; twenty-five grandchildren and two great grandchildren, one brother, Jacob Heil of Spencerville, Ohio also survives.
