She was born Aug. 23, 1912, in Cranberry Prairie, to Casper and Elizabeth (Geise) Reier. In November, 1933, she married Reubin B. Hemmelgarn, who preceded her in death. Survivors are a son and his wife, Lyn and Mary of Bellefontaine; a son, Kenneth of Celina; two daughters and their husbands, Alice Propst and Don Kill, Wapakoneta, and Doris and Robert Makley, St. Marys; a sister, Alvina Heyne, Celina; 17 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandson. Deceased are five brothers, Leo, Fred, William, Lawrence and Herman Reier; and a sister, Agnes Siefring. She was a retired home nursing practitioner. No calling or services will be held. Her body has been donated to the Ohio State University, for use in anatomical study. Arrangements were handled by Long & Folk Funeral Home, St. Marys.
