Additional: Vernon A. Fledderjohann, 80, 1168 Plattner Pike, died at 6:58 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 26, 1996, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital. He was born in New Knoxville to August and Matilda (Lammers) Fledderjohann. On May 25, 1941, he married Gladys Stroh, who survives. He is also survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Paula and Jay and Dee, all of St. Marys; two daughters and a son-in-law, Linda and David Michael, Madison, Wisc., Nancy Archer, Sidney; nine grandchildren; a great-grandson; two brothers and wives, Ralph and Eileen and Myron and Beverly, all of New Knoxville; a sister and husband, Helen and Paul Wellman, New Knoxville; and a brother-in-law, Rev. Nathan Wierwille, St. Marys. He was preceded in death by a brother, Kermit; a sister, Almeda Wierwille,; and an infant sister, Mildred. Mr. Fledderjohann was a retired daity farmer and a member of the Brown Swiss Association, Mid-State Wool Growers, Equity Dairy Board, Auglaize County Farm Bureau and a board member of the Auglaize County Soil and Water Conservation Service. He was a member of First United Church of Christ where he was a deacon and Sunday School Superintendent. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Church with the Rev. David Hunt officiating. Burial will be in Pilger Ruhe Cemetery. Friends may call at Vornholt-Miller Funeral Home following church services, starting at 11:30 a.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday. The preferred memorial is to the church radio fund.
