Additional: Janet B. Fischer, 83, West Auglaize Street, Wapakoneta, died at 9:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 25, 2000, at Otterbein-Cridersville. She was born June 15, 1917, in Terra Haute, Ind., the daughter of Lee M. and Lyle Turner Black. In 1939, she married Jack S. Kennedy, who died in 1944. On Nov. 10, 1946, she married Lucas C. Fischer, who died March 28, 1995. Survivers include a daughter, LeeAnn (Joe) Hardacre of Dayton; three sons, Jack (Sally) Kennedy of West Hartford, Conn., Daniel (Nancy) Fischer of Wapakoneta and James (Linda Cyran) Fischer of Medford, Mass; a sister, Evelyn (Charles) Weibel of Wilmette, Ill.; and six grandchildren, Laura and Joe Hardacre, Sara, Annie and Peter Kennedy and Erica Fischer. She was preceded in death by three grandchildren. A homemaker, Mrs. Fischer worked as a Republican precinct judge for many years. She received a bachelor's degree in business from Simmons College in Boston before she moved to Wapakoneta in 1946. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Wapakoneta. She enjoyed golf and travel. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Bayliff & Eley Funeral Home in Wapakoneta with the Rev. G. Richard Bell officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenlawn Cemetery in Wapakoneta. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
