Additional: New Knoxville, Aug. 10—Mrs. Caroline E. Eversman, age 89, widow of Henry W. Eversman, died at 8:30 p.m. Saturday at Joint Township Memorial Hospital, St. Marys, where she had been a patient for the last year. She had been ill for several years with complications and infirmities of age. Mrs. Eversman was born in Washington township on May 9, 1870, the daughter of the late Henry W. and Elizabeth Snethkamp Lutterbeck. On May 9, 1889, she was married to Henry W. Eversman who preceded her in death March 27, 1934. Mrs. Eversman is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Ferd F. Eversman of New Knoxville, two daughters-in-law, Mrs. J.H. Eversman and Mrs. S.R. Eversman, both of New Knoxville; two grandsons, James R. Eversman, Worthington, and Donald Eversman, New Knoxville, a great-granddaughter, Karen Eversman, and two sisters, Mrs. Sarah E. Holtkamp, New Knoxville and Lydia Noll Steva of St. Marys. Three sons and one daughter are deceased. She was widely known in the community and had many friends. She was a lifelong member of the First United Church of Christ (E&R) and belonged to the German Bible Class and the Ladies Aid. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the church with the Rev. F.J. Lowenbergh officiating. Burial wil take place in Pilger Ruhe Cemetery. Friends may call at the Gilberg & Hegemeier Funeral Home, New Bremen, until 11 a.m. Tuesday when the body will be taken to the church to lie there in state until the hour of the services.
