Additional: Mrs. Mary Adeline Diodore, age 87, widow of Delphin Diodore, died of heart disease last evening at her home at 202 North Defiance Street (St. Marys) where she lived for the last fifty years. She had been in poor health for the last year. Mrs. Diodore, a native of Belgium, with her husband had come to the U.S. when a young woman. They first went to Cincinnati where Mr. Diodore followed his occupation as a miller. Fifty years ago they came to St. Marys, building a house on North Defiance Street where Mr. Diodore died some years ago and where Mrs. Diodore died last evening. She was widely known in St. Marys. Mrs. Diodore was the mother of nine children, three of whom survive. They are Albert Diodore, Kansas City, Kansas; Charles Diodore, Marion, Ind.; Mrs. Albert Makely, Tulsa, Okla. There are eleven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Albert King of Spencerville, is a son-in-law with whom Mrs. Diodore lived during the winter for the last several years. The body of Mrs. Diodore was removed last night to the Albert King home where it will be until the time of the funeral service. Funeral arrangements have not been made, but likely will be held at the Elmgrove Cemetery Chapel in St. Marys. Note from submitter: This newspaper article misspelled the name as Viodore. Both Delphin and Mary are buried at Elm Grove. Mary was born Jan. 19, 1839.
