Additional: Vernon L. Crouse, 68, 738 E. Spring St., St. Marys, formerly of Pearl Street, Spencerville, died 4:30 a.m. June 24, at his residence. He was born April 18, 1933, in Uniopolis, the son of Walter and Vernetta (Cowan) Crouse. On June 5, 1953, he married Patricia Clay. They were later divorced. She survives in Speedwell Tenn. Other survivors are one son and his wife Michael and Melinda of Elida, and a son Steve of Spencerville; a sister and her husband, Novelda and Kenneth King, Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; step-brother, Sam Howell, Wellston, companion, Dorothy Goodwin of the residence; and two grandchildren. Deceased are two sons, Terry and Greg, and a sister, Donna Jean. He was a former employee at Neon Sign Company, Lima, and also the Sheller Globe Company, Lima. He later worked at United Service Station, St. Marys, and the Bonded Service Station, Wapakoneta. He was a member of the Northwestern Ohio Field and Stream Club and a graduate of Cridersville High School. Services are 1:30 p.m. June 27, at Miller Funeral Home, St. Marys, the Rev. David Howell officiating. Burial is at Fairmont Cemetery, Uniopolis. Calling is 4-9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Contributions can be made to Darke-Mercer Hospice.
