Additional: New Knoxville, April 27—Mrs. B.E. Cook, age 74, died at 11:20 o'clock last evening at Lima Memorial hospital where she was taken for treatment earlier in the day. She suffered abdominal hemorrhages which resulted in her death. Mrs. Cook was accompanied to the Hosptial by her sisters, Mrs. Theodore Kuck and her sister-in-law, Mrs. Ernst (Matilda) Eversman, of New Knoxville. Enroute to the hospital Mrs. Eversman suffered a stroke and immediately entered the hospital for treatment when she arrived there. Her condition today is reported as slightly improved. Mrs. Cook was Anna Eversman before her marriage to B. E. Cook, who operated a general store here in New Knoxville for many years and was widely known throughout the community. Surviving her are the sister, Mrs. Kuck and two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Ernst Eversman and Mrs. Herman (Lydia) Eversman. There are a great many more distant relatives and many friends. Mrs. Cook was the daughter of the late William and Elizabeth Wirwille Eversman and was born southeast of New Knoxville on January 1, 1870. On May 19, 1892, she was married to B. E. Cook whose death occurred on December 23, 1940. Six brothers and a sister are deceased. She was a member of the Evangelical and Reformed church, the Ladies Aid society and the German Bible Class. Funeral services are arranged for Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the church with Dr. D. A. Bode officiating. Burial will be in Pilger Ruhe Cemetery.
