Brown, 87, formerly of 223 Sturgeon St., St. Marys, and a resident of Otterbein St. Marys Retirement Community, died at 3:36 a.m. Jan. 9, 2003, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys. She was born July 14, 1915, in Delphos, to Henry and Carolyn (Martz) Huysman. On Dec. 27, 1943, she married Dr. Robert Brown, who survives at Otterbein. Also surviving are a daughter, Linda (Glenn) Fisher, Elida; a sister, Viola Lovelace, Dayton; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Deceased are three brothers, Earl, Arnold and Clayton Huysman, and three sisters, Velma Wannamacher, Evelyn Schafter and Alice Patterson. She was a homemaker and a 1933 graduate of Delphos Jefferson High School. She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, the Rosary Altar Sodality and the Catholic Ladies of Columbia. Funeral Mass is 11 a.m. Monday at the church, the Rev. David Heinl officiating. Burial will follow at Gethsemane Cemetery, St. Marys. Calling at Long and Folk Funeral Home, St. Marys. Contributions can be made to Holy Rosary School.
