Additional: John W. Batch, 86, of Rt. 6, Cridersville, died at 10 p.m. Sunday in Lima Memorial Hospital where he had been a patient 10 days. Death was attributed to a heart attack. He was born Sep. 29, 1880 in Auglaize County, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Pete Batch. He was a retired boilermaker. His wife Elizabeth Jane, preceded him in death. Surviving are two sons, Claude of Rt. 1, Waynesfield, and Paul of Rt. 6 Cridersville; three grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one brother Virgil of Fruitport, Mich., and three sisters, Mrs. Hulda Denny of Coldwater, Mrs. Ida Burris of Lakeland, Fla., and Mrs. Earl (Nora) Conn of Monroe, Ind. Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in McAuley Funeral Home with Rev. Willard Thomas officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Lima.
