Mrs. Aufderhaar was the widow of August Aufderhaar to whom she was married on February 12, 1885. She was born in Ladbergen, Germany on November 13, 1861. They had no children of their own but Mr. and Mrs. Aufderhaar adopted a daughter, Mrs. Theodore (Ida) Kuck, who is left to mourn her death along with three grandchildren, four great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Mrs. Aufderhaar had made her home for some time with her daughter and her grandson and his wife, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Kuck, two miles east of New Knoxville. She was active until recently. On the occasion of her 92nd birthday last fall, Mrs. Aufderhaar had greatly enjoyed the family birthday party arranged in her honor.
