Lawrence P. (Steve) LEE , 80, of Rt. 4, died at 9:45 a.m. Thursday at his home. He had been in failing health
since April with a heart condition.
He was born Nov. 20, 1890 in Eklin, Ind., son of James and Ida (STARETT) LEE. He was a retired carpenter. He
was married on June 27, 1932 to Dorothy Irena KOCH, who survives.
Also surviving are a daughter Patricia, a teacher at Lima Senior High School; three brothers, Lester of Atlanta, Ind., George of Inglewood, Calif., and John of Port Elizabeth, Africa.
Mr. LEE was a member of Hume Methodist Church and Pickard Lodge 69, F&AM at Pickard, Ind.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in Bayliff and Sons Funeral Home, Cridersville, with Rev. Lawrence CORDREY
officiating.
Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 tonight.
Masonic rites will be conducted at the funeral home at 8 p.m. Saturday.

William NUSS, 73, died Wednesday at 7:40 p.m. at his residence, 308 W. Harrison,
 next door to the home in which he was born.
He was born Apr. 25, 1890, the son of George and Elizabeth (SUMMHALER) NUSS.
He was a retired farmer and had previously worked in Wapakoneta industrial plants. He never married.
He was a twin to his sister Mayme NUSS of Wapakoneta. They and a brother Ed NUSS, all resided at the same
address. Other surviviors are four sisters, Mrs. Henry NAGEL, 303 Jackson; Mrs. Rachel DOTY,  312 Harrison;.  Mrs. George KNOST, 417 Jackson, Mrs. Ed DINGLER, 312 Jackson.
Funeral services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at the Heinl and Son Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery. Friends may call after 7 tonight.

Services for Mrs. Lelia WEGLAGE, 78, a resident of the Pauck Building, W. Spring St., St. Marys who
died at 10:35 p.m. Tuesday in Joint Township Memorial Hospital, will be 2 p.m. Friday in Vore and Folk Funeral Home, St. Marys.
Born in Celina, she was the daughter of Edward amd Margaret (HAUS) WUSt. She was preceded in death by three
husbands - Ed CHANDLER, Ora SLATER and Albert WEGLAGE - and a son Ned CHANDLER.
Mrs. WEGLAGE is survived by a sister, Mrs. Hugo (Hazel) VORNHOLT, St. Albans, W. Va., a half- sister,
Mrs. E.F. (Marguerite) SEFTON, Huntington, W. Va., a grandson, Phillip CHANDLER, Shubert; an aunt, Mrs.
Robert (Clara) JOHNSTON, St. Marys; and a nephew, James VORNHOLT, St. Albans.
She was a member of Hawthorne Chapter 119 O.E.S., which will hold memorial services at the funeral home
tonight at 7.
Rev. William OELRICH will conduct funeral services, with burial in Elm grove Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home.

Earl C. BRAUN, 61, of 213 S. Franklin, died at 5:25 a.m. Wednesday at Joint Township Hospital in St. Marys.
Death was attributed to complications following a heart attack.
Born in New Bremen May 10, 1902, he was the son of August and Louise (KNASEL) Braun. On May 28, 1924,
he married Leona (WATERMAN) and she surives.
Also surviving are a son Ralph, Lima; a daughter, Mrs. Merle (Marjorie) BELTON, Lima; a sister, Mrs. David (Helen)
MILLER, Troy; three brothers, Homer, Walter and Harold, all of Sidney; and four grandchildren. A twin brother Lester
died in 1949.
Mr. BRAUN was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ in New Bremen. He was a farmer until 1945, when
he joined the Stanco Co.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Vornholt Funeral Home, Rev. James EGBERT will officiate and burial
will be in German Protestant Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after noon Friday.

John W. BATCH, 86, of Rt. 6, Cridersville, died at 10 p.m. Sunday in Lima Memorial Hospital where he had been
a patient 10 days. Death was attributed to a heart attack.
He was born Sep. 29, 1880 in Auglaize County, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Pete BATCH. He was a retired boilermaker.
His wife Elizabeth Jane, preceded him in death.
Surviving are two sons, Claude of Rt. 1, Waynesfield, and Paul of Rt. 6 Cridersville; three grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one brother Virgil of Fruitport, Mich., and three sisters, Mrs. Hulda DENNY of Coldwater, Mrs. Ida BURRIS of Lakeland, Fla., and Mrs. Earl (Nora) CONN of Monroe, Ind.
Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in McAuley Funeral Home with Rev. Willard Thomas officiating.
Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Lima.

Harry S. DAWSON, 63, of Indianapolis, Ind., died of a heart attack at his home at 6 a.m. Friday.
He was born Aug. 25, 1895 in Auglaize County and had lived in Indianapolis the past 17 years. He was a
government inspector at the stock yards.
His wife Irma (DOUGLAS) DAWSON survives along with two sons, James of Miami, Fla., and Byron E. of LaSalle, ILL; one daughter, Mrs. David HEFFNER of Lafayette, seven grandchildren and one brother, David DAWSON of Waynesfield; two sisters, Mrs. Ada LEE of Lima and Mrs. Leora ENDSLEY of Toledo.
He was a member of the Robert Park Methodist Churc, Indianapolis and several Masonic bodies. He was serving one
year as worthy patron of the Order of Eastern Star.
He was a World War I Veteran. The body will be brought from Flanner & Buchanan Funeral Home, Indianapolis to the
McAuley Funeral Home, Sunday, where services will be held at 4:15 p.m. Rev. William A. Ervin of the Methodist Church
will officiate.
Burial will be in Willow Branch Cemetery.
Friends may call after noon Sunday at the funeral home and until time of services.

Mrs. Anna B. BLANK, 85, died at 12:45 p.m. Thursday in the Auglaize County Home where she resided three
years.
Born Oct. 10, 1877, in Auglaize County, she was the daughter of Lafayette and Mary (Dudgeon) WINEGARDNER. She
was married to Harvey NAGEL in 1902. He died in 1907. She then married Elmer BLANK, who died in 1959.
Surviving are a granddaughter, Miss Corrine PATTERSON of Cleveland, and a sister, Mrs. Milt (Lillie) LONES of Waynesfield. A daughter died in 1943.
Mrs. Blank was a member of Waynesfield Baptist Church and Bethel Chapter 273 Order of Eastern Star.
Rev. C. Donald Thrash will conduct services at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in McAuley Funeral Home, Waynesfield.
Burial will be in Elm Grove Cemetery near St. Marys.
Friends may call at the funeral home where Eastern Star memorial services will be held at 8 p.m. today.
