Additional Information: A pall of gloom settled over New
Knoxville and community this morning when announcement was
made of the death of Albin G. STIENECKER, age 40 years. He
had been ill but about three hours, suffering from acute
indigestion. His death is unusually sad as it marks the third
death in the STIENECKER family in the last 19 days. His
mother, Mrs. A.H. STEINECKER, and Henry STIENECKER being
amoung the number. Mr. STIENECKER was born January 8, 1896,
at New Knoxville, a son of August and Anna SCHROER
STIENECKER. In August 1921 he was united in marriage with
Miss Frances E. KATTERHEINRICH who together with a son, Elton
David, aged 16 months survive, together with his father and
the following brothers and sisters; Mrs. N.P. KATTERHEINRICH,
Mrs. A.A. HENSCHEN. Mrs. Gustave HOGE and Clem R. STIENECKER
of New Knoxville; Edwin STIENECKER, Midland,; and Reuben
STIENECKER, at the family home. Mr. STIENECKER was a World
War veteran having served with the A.E.F. overseas. He was a
member of the American Legion Post, No 444. He was a
telephone land man for the New Knoxville Telephone company.
Funeral services have been arranged for 2:30 Thursday
afternoon at the M.E. church in New Knoxville following a
short service in the home. The Rev. J.C. Kleusner, will
officiate. Burial in Pilger Ruhe cemetery.

Additional Information: Mrs. Frances STIENECKER, age 57,
R.R.2, Bluffton, formerly of New Knoxville, died suddenly of
coronary thrombosis at about 6:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Moon
Winex Motel, R.R. 2 Bluffton, which she managed. Her body was
found at noon by her son, Luke, when he returned to the Motel
where he lived with his mother. Mrs. STIENECKER was born
February 7, 1902 in Washington township, the daughter of
Wesley F. KATTERHEINRICH and the late Flora SETTLAGE
KATTERHEINRICH. On August 25, 1921, she was married to Albin
STIENECKER who died in August 1936. She is survived by two
children, Elton, of New Bremen and Luke STIENECKER, of R.R.2,
Bluffton, her father and stepmother, Mr. and Mrs. Wesley
KATTERHEINRICH of New Knoxville, and two sisters, Mrs. Ferd
MECKSTROTH and Mrs. Clem STIENECKER, New Knoxville. Two
children and two brothers, Melvin and Byron are deceased. She
was a member of the Methodist church in Beaver Dam and of the
W.S.C.S. For the last three and a half years she had managed
the Moon Winex Motel. Previously she had been employed in the
cafeteria at the New Knoxville schools. Funeral services for
Mrs. STIENECKER will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the
Vornholt Funeral Home, New Bremen with the Rev. Oscar W.
Burdette officating. Burial will take place in Pilger Ruhe
cemetery, New Knoxville. Friends may call at the funeral home
after noon Thursday until the hour of the services.

/ Additional Information: New Knoxville-Clement (Clem) R.
STIENECKER, 84, of here, died at 3 a.m. today at his home
following an extended illness. He was born on May 20, 1901,
in New Knoxville, the son of August and Anna SCHROER
STIENECKER. On April 29, 1928, he married Olga M.
KATTERHEINRICH, who survives. Mr. STIENECKER was retired
after teaching for 421 years. He has served as village clerk
for New Knoxville and helped name the streets in the village.
He was the last charter member of the New Knoxville Rod and
Gun Club. He was a member of the Auglaize County Retired
Teacher Association and the New Knoxville United Methodist
Church where he taught Sunday School for many years.
Survivors include a son Don. C. STIENECKER of New Knoxville;
a daughter, Mrs. Shirley A. MEYER of New Knoxville; 12
grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and three sisters,
Mrs. Gertrude WRIGHT of Sun City, Fla., Mrs. Lydia HENSCHEN
of St. Marys and Mrs. Mary HOGE of Sidney. Services will be
at 4 p.m. Sunday in the United Methodist Church, Rev. James
Waugh officiating. Burial will be in Pilger Ruhe Cemetery in
New Knoxville. Friends may call from 2 p.m. until time of the
services Sunday at the church. Gilberg Funeral Home of New
Bremen is in charge of arrangements.

Additional Information: Olga M. STIENECKER, 91 of 202 W.
German St., New Knoxville died Friday Aug. 7, 1998 at 9:20
p.m. at her residence. She was born on Nov. 20, 1906 near New
Knoxville in Washington Township, to Wesley F. and Flora
(SETTLAGE) KATTERHEINRICH. On April 27, 1928 she married
Clement R. STIENECKER, and he died Oct. 19, 1986. She is
survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Don and Shirley
STIENECKER; a daughter and fiancee, Shirley MEYER and Dave
BRYENTON, all of New Knoxville; 12 grandchildren; one great-
grandchild; a daughter-in-law, Janice STIENECKER of Ft.
Wayne; two sisters-in-law, Anna LUTTERBECK and Dorothy
STIENECKER, both of St. Marys; and a brother-in-law, Ferd
MECKSTROTH, New Knoxville. She was preceded in death by her
parents, a son James STIENECKER in 1981, a son-in-law, Victor
MEYER in 1982, two brothers, Melvin and Byron KATTERHEINRICH
and two sisters Frances STIENECKER and Jenny MECKSTROTH. Mrs.
STIENECKER was a member of the United Methodist Church in New
Knoxville, where she had been active as a member of the
United Methodist Women's Society, The Church Choir, and she
and her husband for many years had served as the church
custodians. She was a homemaker who enjoyed bridge and
dominoes. She had been a clerk at the former Ben KUCK Store,
and for many years was employed at Adolph's Restaurant both
in New Knoxville. Memorial services will be held at 7:30 p.m.
Tuesday at the united Methodist Church, New Knoxville, with
Rev. Mitch Arnold officiating. The family will receive
friends at the church from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. just prior to
the service. Her body has been cremated and private burial of
remains will take place in the Pilger Ruhe Cemetery, New
Knoxville. The preferred memorial is the United Methodist
Church Organ Fund. Gilberg Funeral Home, New Bremen, had
charge of arrangements.

STIENECKER, 60, 15 Circle Drive, died of an apparent heart
attack at approximately 9 a.m. while ice fishing on Grand
Lake St. Marys. He was born May 4, 1935, in Lima to Albin and
Frances (KATTERHEINRICH) STIENECKER. On May 15, 1954, he
married Delores SCHROER, who survives. He is also survived by
a two sons and a daughter-in-law, Rich and Cindy, Troy; Mark,
St. Marys; and a brother and sister-in-law, Luke and Daisy,
New Bremen. He was preceded in death by an infant son, Len
David, and two infant brothers. Mr. STIENECKER was employed
as a mechanic and welder at Tranco. He served in the Army as
a corporal in the First Armored Division in Germany from 1954
to 1956. He was an avid fisherman, outdoorsman and draftsman
and a life member of the New Bremen Rod and Gun Club and a
member of the National Wildlife Association. He was a member
of St. Paul United Church of Christ. Services will be at
10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church with the Rev. John W.
Tostrick officiating. Burial will be in German Protestant
Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today
at Gilberg Funeral Home and after 9 a.m. Tuesday at the
church. The prefered memorials are to the church and the New
Bremen Emergency Squad.

STIENECKER, 49, 66A Rt.1 New Bremen, died at 10:30 a.m.
Monday September 21 at his home. He had been suffering from a
heart condition for many years. Born in New Knoxville on
December 10, 1931 he was the son of Clement and Olga
KATTERHEINRICH STIENECKER, who survive in New Bremen. On
February 2, 1960 he married Janice DAUM who also survives.
Other survivors include three sons, Mike ELLENWOOD
Jacksonville, N.C. and Rex at home one daughter, Mrs. Joe
(Sandra) LEFFEL, New Knoxville; three grandchildren; one
brother, Don STIENECKER, New Knoxville; and one sister, Mrs.
Victor (Shirley) MEYER, Rt.2, Wapakoneta. He was a barber and
a member of the United Methodist Church, New Knoxville.
Memorial services will be held on Wednesday evening at 7:30
p.m. at the United Methodist Church with the Rev. James Waugh
officiating. The body has been cremated and will be buried in
Pilger Ruhe. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m.
until the time of the Services. Gilberg Funeral Home, New
Bremen is in charge of the arrangements. Memorial
contributions may be directed to the Untied Methodist Church
Memorial Fund.

St. Marys-John C. STRASBURG, 38, 15176 Townline Kossuth Road,
died at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 1, 1995, at his residence.
He was born Nov. 1, 1956, in St. Marys to Verlin C. and
Martha L. (NIEMEYER) STRASBURG. He is survived by his
parents; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Ronald and Cindy
Wapakoneta; Thomas and Bev. St. Marys; a sister and brother-
in-law, Carol and Kevin DOSECK, St. Marys; five nieces and
three nephews. He was preceded in death by two infant
brothers; paternal grandparents, Ben and Lillie (NIETER)
STRASBURG; and naternal grandparents, Gustave and Elsie
(BUDDEMEYER) NIEMEYER. Mr. STRASBURG was a dairy farmer and a
member of the national, state and county Holstein
associations. He graduated in 1975 from Memorial High School.
He was active in 4-H and FFA and received the State FFA
Degree in 1975. He was baptised and confirmed in St. Paul's
United Church of Christ. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday
at the church with the Rev. Patrick F. McKinney officiating.
Burial will be in Pilger Ruhe Cemetery, New Knoxville.

STRASBURG, 67, 15176 Townline Kossuth Road, died following an
extended illness at 4:30 a.m. Saturday, June 3, 1995, at Ohio
State University Hospital, Columbus. She was born Dec. 10,
1927, in Washington Township to Gustave and Elsie
(BUDDEMEYER) NIEMEYER. On Feb. 2, 1947, she married Verlin C.
STRASBURG who survives. She is also survived by two sons and
daughters-in-law, Ronald and Cindy, Wapakoneta; Thomas and
Bev. St. Marys; a daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Kevin
DOSECK; eight grandchildren, Andrew and Emily STRASBURG,
Michelle, Angela and Kevin STRASBURG, Sara, Christopher and
Paul DOSECK; two brothers, Robert, and George, both of
Wapakoneta; two sisters, Mrs. Ronald (Donna Jean) MANN,

nunber of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a
son John C. on Feb.1, 1995; and two infant sons. Mrs.
STRASBURG was a homemaker. She was a 1946 graduate of Blume
High School in Wapakoneta; a member of the Rural Women's Club
for 36 years, Farm Bureau Concil #26 and Farm Bureau Women.
She was confirmed in the First United Church of Christ in New
Knoxville and a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ
where she taught Sunday School for 30 years and was a member
of the Rebecca Circle. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday
at the church with the Rev. Patrick F. McKinney officiating.
Burial will be in Pilger Ruhe Cemetery, New Knoxville.

Obituary / Additional Information: Robert M. TEMPLE, Jr., 41,
of 507 Sturgeon St. St. Marys, died at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday,
December 21, in Joint Township Memorial Hospital. He was born
Jan 12, 1941, in Auglaize County near New Bremen, the son of
Robert M. TEMPLE Sr. and Rose MCDERMITT TEMPLE. His mother
survives him. His stepfather, James FLEMING, survives in
Celina. He married Linda KRUSE of Moulton, on Oct. 19, 1968,
she survives. Survivors include two daughters, Lisa age 12
and Amy, age 7 who are at home; a sister, Mrs. Robert
(Shirley) CORNWELL, St. Marys; five brothers, Jack,
Wapakoneta; Richard, Celina; Jerry, Celina, Gary; St. Marys;
and Terry, Celina. He is preceded in death by his sister
Sharon, who died in 1982 and a brother, Lincoln who died in
1963. Mr. TEMPLE was a member of F.O. of Eagles Aerie 767,
St. Marys, and the Trinity Lutheran Church in Moulton. He was
employed as an auto mechanic and partner in Bob's service
center in St.Marys and Celina. Funeral services will be held
at 1:30 p.m. Friday, December 24, at Yoder Long and Folk
Funeral Home, St. Marys, wth Rev. Wayne F. HOEDT,

TESTER, 79, died at 2:30 a.m. May 10, at her home at 541
Lisle St., Celina. She was born Oct. 1, 1920, in St. Marys,
to Herbert and Emma (COOK)HEIL. On March 28, 1942, she
married Lloyd TESTER, who survives. Other survivors are two
sons and their wives, Lee and Joyce, Wabash, Ind., and George
and Beverly of Celina, and a son, Chuck of Celina, three
daughters and their husbands, Anita and James LAUX,
Coldwater, Sue and Jerrold EICHENAUER, Celina, and Robin and
Kenneth BORNHORST, Troy, three brothers and their wives, Dick
and Mary HEIL, Wapakoneta, Paul and Hazel HEIL, Dover, Fla.,
and John and Wilma HEIL, St. Marys, and a brother Her HEIL,
Vandalia; a sister and her husband, Martha and Harold LAUTH,
New Knoxville; 17 grandchildren and eight great-
grandchildren. Deceased are three sisters. She was retired
afrter working on the assembly line at the former Huffy
Bicylce Co., Celina. Services are at 11 a.m. Saturday at W.H.
Dick and Sons Funeral Home, Ceina, the Rev. Von Eric Berlin
officiating. Burial is at Mercer Memory Gardens Celina.

A St. Marys woman was killed in an accident on State Route
362, just north of the Auglaize Shelby County line at 1:10
a.m. Sunday, according to the St. Marys Post of the State
High Way patrol. Tami D. VOGEL, 22 of St. Marys, was dead at
the scene, according to the State Highway Patrol. Randy
WATERMAN, 22, of New Bremen, received injuries was taken to
Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St.Marys, by the
Minster Rescue Squad. He is being released from the hospital
today. A spokeswoman for the patrol said that WATERMAN was
northbound on S. R. 362, traveling at an apparent high rate
of speed when he drove off the right side of the road after
rounding a curve and striking a guardrail. The car became
airborne, struck a tree and came to a rest. VOGEL was thrown
from the vehicle. WATERMAN's car, a '78 Chevrolet was
demolished. The St. Marys Post was assisted by the Minster
Police Department. The accident remains under investigation.
Miss VOGEL, of 311 N. Chestnut, St. Marys was dead on arrival
at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys, at
2:40 a.m. Sunday, November 8. Born June 11, 1959 in St.
Marys, she was the daughter of Eugene E. and Esther
(WIBBELER) VOGEL. She is survived by her mother. There are
also two sisters, Mrs. Steve (Karen) VORNHOLT of Galt, Mo.,
and Mrs. Gerald (Connie) HEGEMEIER of Charlottesville,
Virginia. ... Burial will be in Resthaven Cemetery.

North Spruce, St. Marys, died at 4:45 a.m. today of
congestive heart failure at Joint Township Memorial Hospital
where he was admitted as a patient last evening. He had been
ill for eight months with a heart condition. He was 48 years
of age. Born northeast of St.Marys on Novemeber 4, 1923, he
was a son of William and Agnes TINNERMAN VOGEL. On July 12,
1941, he was married to Esther WIBBELER, who survives along
with three children, Mrs. Steve (Karen) VORNHOLT, R.R.2, St.
Marys, Mrs. Gary (Connie) HEGEMEIER, Ft. Wayne, Indiana, and
Tami, at home; five grandcildren; one sister, Mrs. A.J.
(Helen) HOVERMAN, R.R.3 Spencerville; and three brothers,
Fred, Sr., and Vernon, both of St. Marys, and William, St.
Marys, One brother, Charles is deceased. He had been employed
by the Hannifin Corportation for the past ten years. Prior to
that he had worked for the New Knoxville Farm Bureau for 16
years. Funeral services will be at 3:30 p.m. Thursday at the
Yoder-Long and Folk Funeral Home. The Rev. Theodore T.
Stellhorn, III. will be in charge. Interment will be in
Resthaven Memory Gardens. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and

Additional Information: Alvin "Pete" WAGNER, 72, of
25 S. Main, New Bremen, died Saturday, December 20, at 3:23
p.m. in Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys,
following an extended illness. Born June 28, 1908 in German
township, New Bremen, he was the son of George and Mathilda
(SETTLAGE) WAGNER. On November 20, 1935, he married Annabel
SCHEER who survives. Also surviving are a son, Ted, of New
Bremen, three granddaughters, and a sister, Mrs. J.F.
(Esther) EVANS of Gold Hills, Calif. Three brothers preceded
him in death. Mr. WAGNER was a Tech Sargeant during World War
II in the U.S. Army. He is a member of the New Bremen
American Legion No 241, Home Benefit Assocation of New
Bremen, and St. Paul United Church of Christ. He retired in
1968 from Stamco, New Bremen, and for several years owned and
operated Wagner Laundrymat in New Bremen. Funeral services
will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, December 23, at the Gilberg Funeral
Home, New Bremen, with the Rev. Larry K. May officiating.
Burial will be in Willow Grove Cemetery, New Bremen. Friends

WAGNER, age 70, formerly of north of New Bremen, died
yesterday in Rio Linda, Calif., where he had lived for some
years. He was a brother of Richard and Alvin WAGNER, New
Bremen, who left last Thursday for Rio Linda in response to
work of his critical illness. Mr. WAGNER rallied Friday to
recognize them. Mr. WAGNER was the son of the late George and
Matilda SETTLAGE WAGNER. He was born north of New Bremen on
May 7, 1903. As a young man he enlisted in the U.S. Marine
Corps in which he served before establishing his home in
California. Surviving him are his wife, Eloise, a son Dr.
Harry, Jr. of Oregon, and a daughter, Mrs. Jerry (Evelyn)
EGAN, Stockton, Calif., five grandchildren, two brothers,
Richard and Alvin, New Bremen, and one sister, Mrs. J.F.
(Esther) EVANS, of Gold Hill, Oregon, A brother, Sylvanus, is
deceased. Mr. WAGNER was employed for some years in an
airplane factory in Califormia, then served as water
commissioner of Rio Linda until his retirement. He visited
relatives and friends in New Bremen and St. Marys a year ago
last June. Funeral services will be held in Rio Linda.

Bremen, died at 10:15 a.m. New Bremen, died at 10:15 a.m.
Tuesday at his home. He was found dead in the early
afternoon. Mr. WAGNER had been dismissed from JTDMH on
Monday. Dr. Richard Harbord, ruled the death due to a heart
attack. Born March 19, 1906 in Auglaize County, he was the
son of George and Matilda SETTLAGE WAGNER. On Oct.22, 1949 he
and Fern GEIB were married. She died in 1961. Surviving are a
sister, Mrs. J.F. (Esther) EVANS, Gold Hill, Ore.; a brother,
Alvin (Pete) WAGNER, New Bremen, two nieces and five nephews.
Two brothers, Harry and Sylvanus preceded him in death. Mr.
WAGNER was a member of The Woodmen of the World Camp 149 in
New Bremen for more than 50 years. He belonged to St. Peter
United Church of Christ. He was a retired carpenter and also
a retired employee of Thieman Stamping Co., New Bremen.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in Vornholt Funeral
Home, with the Rev. Lawrence T. Holmer officiating. Burial
will be in Willow Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at the
funeral home after 1 p.m. Thursday and until the itme of
services Friday. The Woodman services will be held at the
funeral home at 9:15 p.m. Thursday.

WAGNER, 55, of R.R.1, New Bremen died Sunday at 9:00 a.m. at
Lima Memorial hospital of complications after an illness of
two weeks. On December 25, 1905, Mrs. WAGNER was born in
Gaylord Minn., the daughter of the late William and Elizabeth
GEIB GEIB. On October 22, 1949, she was married to Richard
WAGNER, who is her only survivor. A brother, Paul GEIB is
dceased. Mrs. WAGNER was a member of the St. Peter's United
Church of Christ in New Bremen, the Women's Guild of the
church, and Woodman Good Hope Circle of Camp no. 141, of New
Bremen. She was employed as a coil winder at the Crown
Control Compnay. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday
at the St. Peters's church with the Rev. Kenneth W. Phieffer
officiating. Burial will take place in Willow Grove cemetery.
Friends may call at the Vornholt funeral home in New Bremen
after noon Wednesday until 10:30 a.m. Thursday at which time
the body will be moved to the church to lie in state until
the hour of the service. Woodmen Good Hope Circle No. 141

Main St., New Bremen, died Monday , January 20, 1992, at 6
p.m. at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima. He had fallen on the
ice in Lima Sunday and suffered a head injury. He was born
May 16, 1922, in German Township, Auglaize County, northwest
of New Bremen, the son of Louis and Pauline (SETTLAGE)
WEHMEYER. On May 27, 1944, he married Rose Marie SCHAMP, who
survives. Survivors also include four daughters, Mrs.
Frederick (Barbara) MOELLER of New Bremen, Mrs. Richard
(Beverly) GILBERG of Piqua, Mrs. Louis (Bonnie) HUART of
Kettering, and Mrs. Thomas (Brenda) PHLIPOT of New Bremen;
two sons, Douglas WEHMEYER of Wapakoneta, and Daryl WEHMEYER

Kettlersville. Mr. WEHMEYER retired from Crown Control, New
Bremen in 1987 after 22 years of service. Before he was
employed at Crown Control, he was engaged in farming and was
also employed at the Auglaize County Soil Conservation
Department. A past member of the New Bremen Board of
Education, Mr. WEHMEYER was a member of the Auglaize County
Farm Bureau. He was a member of St. Paul United Church of
Christ, New Bremen, and was a former financial secretary and
deacon of the church. Funeral services will be Thursday at
10:30 a.m. at Gilberg Funeral Home, New Bremen, with Rev.
John W. Tostrick officating. Burial will be in German

6:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 14, 1997 in Joint Township District
Memorial Hospital. He was born March 28, 1926 in Washington
Township-Auglaize County to Ferd and Ella (MECKSTROTH)
WELLMAN. On April 11, 1948, he married the former Helen M.
FLEDDERJOHANN, and she survives. Other survivors are two sons
and daughters-in-law, Mark and Pat WELLMAN, New Knoxville;
Ned and Lisa WELLMAN, Powell; two daughters and sons-in-law,
Mary and Keith Howe, Gahanna; Jane and Zane BAUGHMAN, Tipp
City, and nine grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his
parents, and a brother, Howard WELLMAN. Mr. WELLMAN was a

Nursing Home where she had been a resident the past two
years. Death was due to complications. Before moving to the

daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond SCHMIDT. Born in New Bremen

November 29, 1916, she as married to Irwin WESTERBECK who
died December 14, 1957. In addition to Mrs. Ray (Marjorie)
SCHMIDT, she is survived by two sons, John of Ravenna and
Kenneth of Dayton and another daughter, Mrs. Linus (Lois)
LAMMERS of St. Henry. There are 16 grandchidlren. Also

Marys, died Sunday, July 23, 1989, at Riverside Hospital,
Toledo. He was born in St. Marys on June 9, 1926, a son of

to the Toledo area approximately 20-25 years ago. Survivors

she had been admitted several days earlier. Death was due to

1882, Mrs. WIBBELER was born in Washington Township, the
daughter of the late William and Sophia KUCK BUDDEMEYER. She
was married to Lewis WIBBELER, who preceded her in death in

Additional Information: Death saddened the family of Louis H.
WIBBLER (sic) when it called him on January 1, at 3 a.m. Mr.
WIBBLER was sick only a few days and was a victim of
influenza followed by pneumonia. The decease was born Mary 1,
1884 and was at the time of his passing 44 years and 10
months. Mr. WIBBLER was in infancy baptized by the Rev. Noll
and on March 31, 1899 was confirmed by the Rev. J. Bachman
and thereby joined the Reformed church of which he was a true
member. On September 3, 1903, he was united in holy bonds of
wedlock with Miss C. BUDDEMEYER to which union were born 3
boys and four daughters. He leaves to mourn his untimly death
his bereaved widow, three sons; LeRoy, Henry and Walter
WIBBLER; 4 daughters Mrs. Emma ARNETT, Selma, Esther and Ruth
WIBBLER, his aged father, William WIBBLER, one grother,
Benjamin WIBBLER, one sister, Mrs. Charles RUWOLDT, St. Marys
and other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be
conducted by the Rev. L.H. Kunst, D.D. at his late residence,
one mile south of Moulton on Friday at 1 o'clock, concluded

1035 E. Columbia Street, was found dead by his nephews, Elmer
and Wilson RUWOLDT when they returned home from work
yesterday at 5:30 p.m. Dr. D. L. Kile gave 4:45 as the
approximate time of Mr. WIBBELER's death. He apparently died
of a heart attack of injuries received in a fall downstairs.
An autopsy to determine the cause of death was ordered by Dr.
R.H. Shaffers, county coroner. Mr. WIBBELER was born Oct. 12,
1892, in Washington township, the son of the late William and
Fredericka THEES WIBBELER. For years he resided in the
Moulton community and was employed by the Detjen Grain
Company. He had lived with his nephews for several years. He
was the last of his immediate family, a brother Lewis and
sister, Mrs. Rosina RUWOLDT, having preceded him in death.
There are a number of nieces and nephews. He was a member of
the First United Church of Christ (E&R) at New Knoxville
and a veteran of World War I. Funeral servcies wil be held at
2 p.m. Saturday at the Sittler Memorial Home. Burial will
take place in Pilger Ruhe Cemetery at New Knoxville. Friends

Obituary / Additional Information: Eldred L. ESCHMEYER,
74, 18722 Roettger Road, New Knoxville, died suddenly at 10
a.m. Tuesday, May 20, 1997 at his residence. He was born Feb.
16, 1923 to Lawrence and Lydia (MECKSTROTH) ESCHMEYER, in the
same house in which he died. On Sept. 13, 1947 he married the
former Marie THOMAS, and she survives. Other survivors are a
son and daughter-in-law, Bruce and Ellen ESCHMEYER, New
Knoxville; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Susan WARNER,
Newark; Barbara and William SHELBY, Sunbury, Ohio; Lynn and
Ron SCHWEITZER, Wapakoneta; 10 grandchildren; four great-
grandchildren, and a brother, Zelotes ESCHMEYER, New
Knoxville. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a
sister, Dorothy HENSCHEN. Mr. ESCHMEYER retired from Hoge
Lumber Company and was also a farmer. He was a 1941 graduate
of New Knoxville High School, an member of the First United
Church of Christ, a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, was a
member of American Legion Post 444, and also enjoyed
woodworking and fishing. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m.
Friday at the First United Church of Christ in New Knoxville
with Rev. David Hunt officiating. Burial, with military rites
by the American Legion Post 444, will follow in Pilger Ruhe
Cemetery in New Knoxville. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6
to 8 p.m. Thursday at Vornholt and Miller Funeral Home in New
Knoxville. Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.

Additional Information: Koneta LEFFEL, 90, 304 Dieker Place,
St.Marys, died following a three month illness at 6:45 p.m.
Tuesday, May 20, 1997 at Joint Township District Memorial
Hospital. She was born April 25, 1907 near Buckland to Smith
and Ethel (BROOKHART) PLACE. On Oct. 7, 1926, she married Roy
LEFFEL, and he died July 23, 1965. She is survived by a
daughter and son-in-law, Fern and Ned JOHNS, St. Marys; a son
and daughter-in-law, Roger and Rose LEFFEL, St. Marys; nine
grandchildren, Faye BARLETT, Luanne DAVAKOS, Jodi GOENS, Gary
JOHNS, Kathy FRANKENBERG, Michelle SCHAAF, Greg LEFFEL, Diane
STEINBRUNNER, and Doug LEFFEL; 23 great grandchildren and a
sister, Doris DINGLEDINE, Lima. She was preceded in death by
two sisters, Ruth JONES and Millie WILGUS. Mrs. LEFFEL, a
homemaker, lived on a farm in Noble Twonship, and assisted in
operations until she moved to St. Marys in 1964. She was a
member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, St. Marys, and
the Women's Guild of the Church. She volunteered with Agape
Center and the Red Cross Bloodmobile, and prepared thousands
of squares for lap robes with the church's Women's Guild.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul's
United Church of Christ with Rev. Patrick F. McKinney
officiating. Burial will follow in Elm Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Long
& Folk Funeral Home in St. Marys. Memorial contributions
may be made to the St. Paul's Church.

Additional Information: Funeral services for 2nd Lieut.
Donald D. MAKLEY will be held at nine o'clock Saturday
morning in the Holy Rosary Catholic church with the Father
John J. Brinker officiating. Lieut. MAKLEY, son of Mrs. Hulda
GERSTNER MAKLEY and the late Arthur MAKLEY, was killed
October 12, 1944, in an airplane over Osnabruck, Germany. He
was a member of the 328th Bomb Squadron, 93rd Bomb Group, of
the U.S. Army Air Force. He was born in St. Marys on October
8, 1921, his death occurring 4 days after his 23rd birthday.
Surviving with the mother, who resides at 211 North Walnut
street, are a brother, Robert, at home,; and a sister, Mrs.
William (Joan) POPPE, of St. Marys. The American Legion Post
No. 323 will have the military services and burial will be in
Gethsemane. Friends may call at the Yoder and Son Funeral
Home Thursday and Friday evenings. Lieut. MAKLEY's body will
arrive Wednesday evening in St. Marys.

Marys, died at 12:58 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 13, 2000, at his
residence. He was born Dec. 6, 1907, in St. Sebastian to
Heinrich and Maria (SEVERT) HOELSCHER. On April 5, 1932, he
married Bernadine C. PRENGER, who died Sept. 15, 1994. He is

a lifelong farmer. He was a member of the Holy Rosary
Catholic Church in St.Marys. He was a lifetime member of the
Knights of St. John Commandry 313 in Maria Stein. A Mass of
Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Holy
Rosary Catholic Church in St.Marys with the Rev. David A.
Heinl officiating. Burial will take place at the Gethsemane

Mildred S. FITZGERALD, 98, of rural Wapakoenta, died at 6:30
p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2000, at the Wapakoneta Manor. She
was born Sept. 28, 1901, in Moulton Township, Auglaize
county, to Edgar and Susan (BATES) SILLIN. On Aug. 16, 1930,
she married Edward G. FITZGERALD, who died July 26, 1978.
Survivors include one daughter, Shirley (Jack) WERST of
Wapakoneta; two grandchildren, Kevin (Tricia) WERST of Dayton
and Karen (David) FARREN of Cincinnati; and eight great-
grandchildren, Jocelyn, Sara, Matthew, Lauren and Jonathan
WERST and Carissa, Alex and Samuel FARREN. Mrs. FITZGERALD
was a homemaker. She taught school in New Hampshire and
Xenia. She later worked in a law office in Dayton. She was a
graduate of Ohio Northern Normal School and the Miami-Jacobs
Business College in Dayton. She attended Harvest Baptist
Church in Wapakoneta. Funeral services will be held at 1:30
p.m. Friday at Harvest Baptist Church in Wapakoenta with the
Rev. Gary Bragg officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven
Memory Gardens near Moulton. The family will receive friends
from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Bayliff & Eley Funeral
Home. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the

73, of Moulton died at 7:30 Christmas night at her home after
an extended illnesss with a complication of diseases. She was
born in 1875, a daughter of the late William and Sophia
BUDDEMEYER. In 1895 she was married to William WIBBELER who
died in 1936. Surviving her are two stepchildren, Benjamin
WIBBELER, at home and Mrs. Rosena RUWOLDT, St. Marys; two
sisters, Mrs. Sarah WIBBELER, Wapakoneta, R.R. 2 and Mrs.
Chris SCHROER, New Knoxville and one brother, George

was a lifelong member of the Evangelical and Reformed Church
at New Knoxville. Funeral services will be held Tuesday

resident of the Moulton neighborhood, died at 5:45 this
morning. He had been ill for several weeks. Mr. WIBBELER was
a native of Washington township where he was born August 12,
1852, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry WIBBELER. He was united in
marriage with Miss Anna BUDDEMEYER, who survives with their
two children, Benj. WIBBELER at the family home and Mrs.
Rosina RUVOLDT (RUWOLDT) of St. Marys. He also leaves 11
grandchildren, 10 greatgrandchildren and two sisters, Mrs.
Mary KATTERHEINRICH of Spencerville and Mrs. Mary BORNHORST
of St. Marys. Mr. WIBBELER was a member of the Evangelical

suddenly this morning at her home south of New Bremen at 6
o'clock. Mrs. WIEHE was born June 17, 1894, in Shelby county

Elizabeth NIEMEYER HUELSMEYER. She married Harry WIEHE May
26, 1915, and he survives. Surviving with the husband are the

home following an extended illness. Born Dec. 19, 1914 in
Shelby County, he was the son of Henry G. and Matilda KUCK
