Auglaize County was created in 1848 from portions of Allen, and Mercer Counties.
Other neighboring counties are Darke, Hardin, Logan, Shelby,  and Van Wert Counties.


Wapakoneta is the county seat.
Auglaize is a Native American word meaning "fallen timbers."

Also IT IS VERY IMPORTANT to keep your requests within the certain guidelines outlined for look-ups and queries. As much as I'd love to be able to run to the court house or library to do research for everyone, I don't have the time to do that.
